TEETH WHITENING

More and more people would like to have "Hollywood-smile". The simpliest way of achieving this is teeth whitening. Previously we have to do the hygienic treatment: the tartar removal and polishing of the teeth.
Teeth whitening is a chemical procedure: we oxidate the natural discolouring materials of the teeth by the oxygen released from the whitening gel diffusing into the teeth material. The modern procedures do not cause harm to the teeth. Moreover it is proven that applying some technics the teeth became more resistant against decaying because of molecular changings thanks to the whitening procedure.From a good whitening material during use oxygen atoms (not molecules!) release, and the residual agents do not cause any harm.
In case of applying whitening technologies with lamps, we accelerate the releasing of the oxygen and its diffusing into the teeth material by special wave-length light enhancing its efficacy. Like this the patients leave us 1-2 hors later with white teeth. The effect can be kept for a few years depending on the patient’s eating and hygienic habits. With regular colour-conservating treatments or repeating the whitening procedure after 3-5 years, the teeth will not discolour again.
Some whitening procedure can be used at home or provided from the TV-shop can cause harm to the teeth.


You can choose from 3 types of teeth whitening procedures at HALÁSZ CLINIC:

Night white/ whitening with a stent
This is the most conventional procedure. The dental technician makes a stent upon an individual plaster model. Filling up this stent with a 10-15% strong whitening gel and setting it to his/her teeth the patient uses this for 30 nights. Applying with a proper type of gel, it will not cause any harm to the teeth.

Zoom
The newest technology, there is not a lot experience available. The teeth covered with 25% strong gel is illuminated with an intensive, 480 nm wave-length light. After every whitening using the effect of a lamp the patient must not consume any coloured food or drink for 48 hours and the teeth can be sensible or even painful for one day. It whitens 7-8 shades.

Brite-Smile
This is the gold-standard of teeth whitening procedures. Up to now no other system could exceed the effectiveness of Brite-Smile even if it is 10 years old. It was developed by NASA. The 15% strong gel is illuminated by a plasma-lamp. Even if somebody repeats the whitening with this system, it will not cause any harm. Usually it whitens 8 shades. In Hungary there is only 5 Britesmile device.
